Presenting "Vogue," an art piece that eloquently dissects the intricate web of societal conditioning. Within this composition, α popcorn-headed figure in sharp suit is reading the pages of Vogue magazine while two identical men are watching behind his back. This evocative portrayal underscores society's tendency to embrace the available, often forsaking personal agency. As we observe these figures immersed in glossy allure, the headline boldly asserts, "yesterday's weirdness is tomorrow's reason why." A profound reflection on the ebb and flow of acceptance, this artwork beckons contemplation of the veiled forces that steer our collective compass.

About the Artist

Brigitte Polemis

Brigitte's work is caught between the disciplines of photography, printing, design and sculpture. Her work is defined by her minimal aesthetics of colour, line and form. Herchoice of Perspex as her media, the use of technologies and her attention to high production values, gives her artwork a very contemporary feel. in addition, the use of the multiple motif and lined backgrounds ads elements of surreal, optical and pop art, that in her work find a new unique expression.

Brigitte Polemis is represented by Mamush Gallery from June 2016.
